Peter Stapleton - Good
Morning Country - CBAA Radio
Nothing is more pleasing than putting on a Country
CD and being able to listen to it all the way through knowing that you will
enjoy every track. Such is the case with the new album from Sandra Humphries
" Every Road"
From the opening track "Cry Baby Cry" through the soulful "Could
You Love Someone" to the closing "Who Needs You" the talents
on Sandra and the great group of musicians surrounding her shine through.
Produced by her good friend Bill Chambers, this album has been a long time
coming, but for all the fans of Sandra and her band Cross Wind, the wait has
been worthwhile.
The album is perfect mix of songs we know along with seven originals from
Sandra. She has managed to take the Garth Brooks hit "If Tomorrow Never
Comes" and present it in a way that is both relaxing and at the same
time thoughtful. "Cry Baby Cry" is country music at its best. The
duet with Bill Chambers, "Love On the Side" is a fine complementary
balance of two distinct styles. "Every Road" is a great example
of the style of music that is distinctly Australian Country.
With albums like this Country Music in Australia is in good hands.
