With her 2003 debut CD EveryRoad and the 2005 follow-up Take The Pain Away SANDRA HUMPRIES has already solidified her reputation as one of Australia's finest, but it is in this, her third album, I'm Worth It, that Sandra has stepped beyond the boundaries into what can only be described as 'World Class.' Recorded in Nashville, the song choice is superb. Opening track Pardon Me [If /Don't Understand) is breathtakingly lovely. Sandra shows her own songwriting skill with Just WalkAway, another beautiful heartbreak song. Title track and new single I'm Worth It is a fiery take-me-as-I-am feminine affirmation song. Is That What He Told You? gives heart and courage to the demoralized. In the same vein comes Heartaches, Highheels And A Halo, another feisty femme track. I Left Him At Home is a sweet sad duet. The punchy Highway Habit closes the album leaving you wanting more. Whether singing of heartache or courage, Sandra Humphries is flawless. |

This is my first chance of hearing Sandra Humphries and once listening to her debut CD "Every Road", like me you'll become an instant fan. Sandra's got what it takes to go to the top of the country music ladder worldwide!
I can see many more records in the future for this very talented artist. "Every Road" is produced by Bill Chambers (Dead Ringer Band) and Bill sings with Sandra on track (8) "Love On The Side" written by fellow South Australian Alan Webster.
12 tracks in all with 7 originals and 5 covers. All tracks are potential chart toppers, I like all of them. Hears a few to wet your taste buds, track (1) "Cry Baby Cry" track (9) "Some, Somebody Will" wait till you hear this one (Golden Guitar Material) and track (11) the Garth Brooks hit "If Tomorrow Never Comes".
High rating and a must for any country music fan, a good traditional country sound, congratulations to all involved. |
